What does it mean when a snow emergency is declared?: During a snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all public streets. This allows road crews to safely and effectively plow and salt. If the forecast calls for over two inches of snow, residents are asked to park all vehicles off of the street in advance of a snow emergency being declared. The Police Department will ticket vehicles that remain parked on the street during a declared snow emergency.
