Success in the Pathway System

Over the last two decades, Dundee has made a concerted effort to develop a community-wide pathway system. This effort has been recognized with Promoting Active Communities (PAC) 2005, 2007, and 2009 awards received from the State for Michigan.

PAC Assessment Results

Created by the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), the Michigan Governor’s Council on physical fitness; health; sports; and others, the PAC assessment is a web-based self-assessment tool that enables communities to examine their policies, programs, and built-environments (www.mihealthtools.org/communities) and to make changes to encourage community residents to be physically active. The village’s 2005 award was level four, the 2007 award level was silver, and the 2009 award level was gold.
